Location: Jeju Island, Korea
Capacity: 100mw
Project: Government Project
Type: Ground-mounted PV station
Delivery Date: 2024
Structure type: Single-pile, dual column fixed bracket
Material: 70% zinc aluminum magnesium carbon steel, 30% galvanized steel
Steel quantity: 3500 tons
Special requirement
This project is a large-scale, long-term ground-based project. Considering the impact of climate, the customer requires the bracket to be able to adapt to both single-sided and double-sided glass PV modules, which imposes special requirements on the anti-corrosion and structural stability of the bracket products.
Project Background
Jeju Island in South Korea has set a net-zero goal by 2030.
Geography
Jeju Island is a popular vacation spot in South Korea, known for its scenery and sandy beaches. Jeju's climate is dry and windy in the winter but wet and rainy in the summer, characterizing a southern climate, making it the place with the highest average temperature and the most rainfall in South Korea. Therefore, PV mounts are required to have strong wind and corrosion resistance.
Project Advantage
The bracket is safe, stable and reliable in terms of structure and has high anti-corrosion performance under the control of the budget.
Solution
Yizhaos carries out field surveys according to the project, and strictly controls the “Three Rules”: program, drawings, and quality. Both sides of the technical team according to the actual conditions of the project site investigation, after a full online or offline technical meetings to discuss, double check the on-site measurement data, review the data, determine the program, audit drawings.
Yizhao provided different solutions according to the customer's requirements. Considering the maximization of the customer's investment return, Yizhao continued to optimize the solution on the basis of the previous plan given by the customer, to reduce the steel consumption of each mw bracket by 5%, saving 5% investment for the customer. In addition, in order to ensure structural safety, horizontal bracing was added to the bracket system, further improving the safety and stability of the bracket system.
At the anti-corrosion level, considering that the project construction location is close to the sea and the natural environment in which it is located has high corrosiveness, Yizhao has adopted the highest level of anti-corrosion solutions, with the main structural parts made of S420GD+ZM300g/㎡, accessories made of hot-dip galvanizing process, using standard measuring tools to ensure the precision of dimensions, and the thickness of the zinc layer of 85um, which meets the customer's requirements, and passed the third-party zinc layer testing, The project was reviewed and remodeled to strengthen the length and thickness of some fittings in the system, such as ground screws, to adapt to the mixed terrain and to avoid potential problems due to ground issues.
