Welding process of adjustable photovoltaic support in marine engineering structure

The working environment of marine engineering structures is relatively harsh, and the performance requirements are harsh. At present, the commonly used welding methods for adjustable photovoltaic brackets in marine engineering welding in my country include electrode arc welding, CO2 gas shielded welding, flux cored wire gas shielded welding, and submerged arc welding. In particular, the adjustable photovoltaic brackets of important structures are often welded by submerged arc welding, gas-electric vertical welding, plasma welding, laser welding, welding robots and ship welding automatic assembly lines.


With the rapid development of my country's marine engineering equipment, some new technologies have emerged in welding adjustable photovoltaic brackets in marine engineering institutions, which need to be paid attention to:

(1) Friction stir welding

Friction stir welding is a technology that utilizes frictional heat generation for welding. It has superiority over other welding methods in terms of welding method, joint mechanical properties and production efficiency. It is an energy-saving and environmentally friendly new connection technology.

(2) Laser welding technology

Laser welding is a high-energy beam welding method. When welding an adjustable photovoltaic support, the metallographic structure of the weld formed is dense and high in strength. The welding heat-affected zone of the adjustable photovoltaic support is small, and the deformation of the adjustable photovoltaic support after welding is small.

(3) Laser-MIG hybrid welding

Hybrid welding is characterized by the use of lasers to improve the welding efficiency of adjustable photovoltaic brackets, MIG welding is used to reduce costs and improve the bridging performance of welds. The plasma generated by the laser enhances the ignition and maintenance ability of the MIG arc, making the MIG arc more stable.

(4) Transformational plasma vertical welding

Methods Transferred arc and variable AC were used for vertical plasma welding, and the welding current was relatively high. The adjustable photovoltaic support with a diameter range of φ4-50cm could be welded through the action of small holes.

(5) Welding robot

The welding robot is a revolutionary advancement in welding automation. It breaks through the traditional way of welding rigid automation and opens up a new way of flexible automation.
